“Ice on Fire” (2023)

This painting contains two artworks, both still visible, although one is made on top of the other. As it happens often, if a work does not feel right, I will paint over it. In this particular case, I wanted to cover the center part of the painting and thought that maybe a tilting figure would be nice to do so. It did… but because I used a lot of paint, it created a large ice-like figure with some blobs of paint in the middle. Lots to see from every angle.

Size is 100cm x 100cm, oil and boat paint on canvas, without frame.
