This artwork is an hommage to Jackson Pollock’s Summertime: number 9A, both in shape and in colours.
As I was working with these rather odd – 30cm x 150cm – sized canvases, I was experimenting a little and decided to put some canvas tension clamps (which are part of any canvas you buy in a store) on the drying paint, creating some 3D into the picture. After I had done so, I had a deja vu… I saw glimpses of Summertime: number 9A. Because it was such a funny outcome, I decided to follow Pollock’s colour scheme and create a sequel to his unparalleled masterpiece.
Size is 30cm x 150 cm, boat paint on canvas, without frame.
