“The Light” (2024)

Underneath the black spray paint is a completed, colourful painting which I did not like. Spraying it black I lost the colours, but not the lines and the structure. The extreme white spot could be a light, but I see it more as light coming into a cave… light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. That gives it yet another layer.

Size is 60cm x 80cm, oil and spray paint on canvas, with a black wooden frame.
