“The Stamp” (2024)

This work started with colouring a background with multi colours, followed by a layer of white dripping. After I had done the black dripping… a childhood memory emerged in front of me: the profile of Queen Beatrix on a Dutch stamp. That image did not let go and I decided to leave the work as is and call it the stamp.
Colourful and interesting it is by all means.

Size is 80cm x 80cm, oil paint and boat paint on canvas, without frame.
