“Therapy” (2022)

This artwork is a very special and meaningful work, which ‘painted itself’. I was in a state of trance while I made this, after some very deep therapy sessions and soul searching. The emotions still very much on the surface are shown in the raw lines of action painting. Fun fact is that the red heart in the middle was created as a red dot. I wanted the red dot to symbolise the ‘period’ I wanted to put behind all these emotions. As I finished the painting and it seemed to have dried, I put it to the storage area where the dot became… a bleeding heart. Karma is… well, you know.

Size of the work is 60cm x 120cm, boat paint on canvas with a white wooden frame.
